Phase 4: The Final Hike to Fairy Meadows
Once at Tattu Village, visitors begin the 2-hour hike up to Fairy Meadows. The trek is around 5 kilometers long and offers magnificent views all the way. Horses are available for those who prefer not to walk or to carry luggage, usually at a rate of Rs. 150 per kilometer.
During summer, the weather can be warm, so hikers should carry enough water and light clothing. It’s also wise to inform jeep drivers of your planned return date in advance so that transportation is ready when you head back.
From Fairy Meadows to Nanga Parbat Base Camp
The trail from Fairy Meadows to Nanga Parbat Base Camp is another highlight for adventure seekers. The trek passes through dense forests with the Buldar Peak and Raikot Glacier visible along the route. It takes around 3 to 4 hours to reach Bayal Camp, and from there, trekkers continue toward Chongra Glacier before arriving at the Base Camp.
